Terrence Howard Says “I Don’t Bend Over in That Way”
Oscar-nominated actor Terrence Howard has made explosive allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming the embattled music mogul attempted to initiate a sexual encounter with him under the pretense of acting coaching sessions. The accusation comes as Combs faces federal sex trafficking charges and multiple sexual assault lawsuits.
“Puffy invited me, for weeks, asking me to come teach him how to — wanted me to be his acting coach for a while,” Howard, 56, revealed during an appearance on the PBD Podcast on Friday. The “Hustle & Flow” star described a pattern of uncomfortable encounters with Combs that he initially failed to recognize as sexual advances.
According to Howard, when he would visit Combs, 55, to work on acting material, the rapper would simply sit and stare at him rather than engage in the coaching process. On another occasion, Howard said, Combs asked to hear his music but again merely stared at him while it played.

A Pattern of Alleged Misconduct
The “Empire” star said his confusion about these interactions was clarified when his assistant bluntly suggested Combs’ intentions: “‘I think he’s trying to f–k you,'” Howard recounted his assistant saying. This realization allegedly prompted the actor to terminate all communication with the Bad Boy Records founder.
“Now you know to be hands off with somebody,” Howard explained during the interview, adding that he had experienced similar situations with “a number of producers” whom he had to “threaten to punch” or “knock their head off.” He emphasized his reaction to such advances: “When you approach a real man about his masculinity, you’re going to get a real reaction back.”
The “Iron Man” actor suggested these boundaries have cost him professionally: “I’ve lost businesses because I don’t bend over in that way. I don’t compromise. I don’t play gay roles. I don’t kiss a man. I don’t do that s–t because the man card means everything.”
Representatives for Combs have not responded to requests for comment on Howard’s allegations, according to Page Six.

Past Tensions Revealed
Howard’s revelations may shed new light on a decade-old conflict between the two entertainment figures. In 2015, Page Six exclusively reported that Combs had prevented his stepson, Quincy Brown, from appearing on Howard’s hit show “Empire” after disagreements over music rights.
“Diddy kicked up a huge stink and called all the top brass at 20th Century Fox TV to get them to change their rules over music rights,” an insider claimed at the time. “He said there was no way his son was signing over his intellectual property. So he banned him from the show.”
It remains unclear whether this business dispute was related to the personal tension Howard now alleges existed between them.

First Major Celebrity Accuser
Howard stands as the first major celebrity to directly accuse Combs of making unwanted sexual advances, adding a high-profile voice to the growing list of allegations against the hip-hop mogul. While other celebrities like Nick Cannon have denied participating in Combs’ alleged “Freak-Off” parties, and former mentee Justin Bieber has distanced himself from rumors, dozens of non-famous individuals have come forward with accusations.
Most recently, Joseph Manzaro filed a lawsuit claiming Combs “facilitated and engaged” in trafficking him and “directly perpetrated acts of sexual violence” toward him in April 2015. In response, Combs told Page Six earlier this week: “This complaint demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday.”
Combs, currently incarcerated while awaiting his federal trial scheduled to begin May 5, has consistently denied all accusations against him and pleaded not guilty to all charges. The music mogul faces serious federal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As the case continues to develop, Howard’s allegations add another dimension to the growing legal challenges facing the once-powerful music industry figure whose empire has come under increasing scrutiny.
