Taylor Lautner was born on February 11, 1992, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Deborah Lautner, a worker of a software development company and Daniel Lautner, a Midwest Airlines pilot. Taylor Lautner has a younger sister, named, Makena and they both grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan. He started taking karate classes when he was six years old and attended the National Karate Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, where he met Michael Chaturantabut. Lautner began training with him afterwards, and the time he was eight years old, he had already earned his black belt. He went on to win several junior world championships and appeared in a televised ISKA event on ESPN in 2003.
