Who is Lil Peep
Lil Peep was a very popular American Rap star, Songwriter, singer and Record Producer. Lil Peep was born on 1st November 1996 at Pennsylvania, US. His real name was Gustav Elijah Ahr. His father, Karl Johan Ahr was a college professor and his mother Liza Womack was a first grade teacher. He went to Lindell Elementary school. He attended Long Beach High School in New York but left before graduating.
He was one of the rising stars in the emo-rapper category. Unfortunately, Lil-peep died on November 15, 2017 due to an overdose of drugs.
Ahr dropped out of high school and took online courses to complete his diploma. He started posting videos on SoundCloud and YouTube. By the age 17, he was in Los Angeles, to initiate a musical journey with an adopted name Lil Peep.
Lil Peep started releasing his mix tapes online. His first one was “Lil Peep Part one”. It garnered 4,000 plays within seven days.
Some of his other Mix Tapes are Live Forever (2015), Hellboy and Crybaby.
Lil Peep’s Extended Plays include Mall Music, California Girls, Garden, Feelz, In the Bedroom, I Confess, Vertigo, Teen Romance, Dead Broke, Castles, Castles II, Dead Broke and Romeo’s Regrets.
Peep released his first album on Instagram named “Come Over When You’re Sober” on August 15, 2017. He began an incomplete tour to popularize this album on August 2nd 2017. Lil Peep died due to overdose of Fentanyl-Xanax on the last few days of his tour.
Some of his works that released posthumously are “Sixteen Lines”; “Spotlight” in collaboration with Marshmello; “Got ‘Em Like” in collaboration with Juicy J and Wiz Kahalifa and “Dreams and Nightmares” in collaboration with Rapper Teddy.
Columbia records acquired Peep’s archive in the year 2018. A single “Sunlight on your skin” is expected to be released soon where Lil Peep collaborates with rapper iLove Makonnen.

Lil Peeps’ parents divorced when he was a teenager. He recorded most of his musical offerings at Echo Park apartments in Los Angeles. He also played the tuba and trombone.
He dated Belle Throne for a short period.
He was addicted to cocaine, xanax and ecstasy but he advised his fans to avoid drugs.
Lil Peep announced over Twitter that he was a bisexual.
Lil Peep was known for his post-emo revival hip-hop genre songs. His songs described depression, past relationships, drug use and suicidal thoughts. He has influences of works by David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Gucci Mane, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Riff Raff.
He also released singles in the hip-hop, cloud rap and trap genre. Some of the labels he worked for are First Access and Warner Music Sweden.
