Kenny G is an American Saxophonist , musician, songwriter and record producer. He was born in Seattle, Washington on June 5th 1956. His real name is Kenneth Bruce Gorelick. His mother is from Canada. He is from a Jewish family and grew up in Seward Park. He was impressed by the Ed Sullivan Show and started playing the Saxophone at age 10. He went to Whitworth Elementary school and graduated from University of Washington.

He decided to go solo and entered into an agreement with the then popular Arista Records. His first album was Kenny G and followed up with G Force and Gravity. These albums achieved Platinum status in the United States.
His fourth album Duotones achieved stupendous success and sold more than 5 million copies in US.

In 1992 Kenny G married Lyndie Benson and they had two sons. He later sought divorce in August 2012. He plays golf and has participated in many golf tournaments such as AT & T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for which he teamed with Golf greats like Tiger Woods, Jerry Chang and Phil Mickelson.
