Tara Leigh Patrick, known by her stage name, Carmen Electra, was born on, April 20, 1972, in Sharonville Ohio, to Harry Patrick, a guitarist and entertainer, and Patricia, a singer. Carmen Electra is the youngest of six children. She attended Ann Weigel Elementary School, while studying dance under Gloria J. Simpson at Dance Artists Studios in Western Hills, until she was nine years old. Electra attended Princeton High School, in Sharonville, and graduated in 1990. She also attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Cincinnati. Electra is of Dutch, English, German, and Irish descent, and is very close to her mother and sister, Deborah.

Electra went on to make her screen debut in 1997, in the film American Vampire. Her popularity continued to grow in 1997, with her posing again for Playboy and hosting a television game show on MTV, called, Singled Out. Her name was so popular with the Playboy magazine franchise, that she went on to pose three more times, in 2000, 2003, and 2009. Since starting her career, her name has really been popularized because of her posing for Playboy as well as the movie roles she has taken under her belt in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. In 2008, she played the character Queen Margo, in Meet the Spartans, and despite receiving negative reviews, the film was still a commercial hit. However, more recently, she has had roles, in the films, Oy Vey! My Son is Gay, Mardi Gras: Spring Break, and 2-Headed Shark Attack. Her talents has also led her to make appearances in television shows as well as television advertisements.
