The error was not corrected ever but the pronunciation was not changed from Antoine. He used to play basketball and football as a quarterback at Quail Hollow Middle School in Charlotte in North Carolina.
He had played high school basketball at Charlotte’s Providence High school where he was named a McDonald’s all American after he had completed his senior year.
During his college, he played three seasons for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where his average was 19 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
