The American game show host is one of the most famous television personalities. He was born on May 6th in the year 1955 and is a native of New England. He belongs to French-Canadian and Irish ethnicity. He was born in Haverhill in Massachusetts and is the son of Late Kay and Ray Bergeron. He first started working as a Disc jockey at a local radio station WHAV in his hometown but soon in the 1980’s, he became a popular radio DJ in the Seacoast area of Hampshire. Because of his popularity, he earned many television and radio auditions. On New Hampshire Television he hosted a game show called Granite State Challenge for the first time. He kept working and gradually gained more and more popularity. In the year 1994, he was given a job at the new FX cable network and was selected to co-host the show with Laurie Hibberd and was called Breakfast Time and became quite popular.
Then about three years later he was signed by the ABC news as a guest host to Good Morning America. He was being seriously considered as a replacement for Charles Gibson after he left but the job went to Kevin Newman eventually.
Times changed soon and in 1998 he was the host for Hollywood Squares and nominated for five Emmys. He won Two Emmy awards in the year 2000.
